Thanks & why ballroom?

August 19th, 2007

Thanks to everyone who ordered prints! I’m getting them out in the mail tomorrow!

Also you can still Vote for the next print! At the moment it looks like “Crime wave” is going to win. So you have until the end of the week to vote.

I’ve got a guess the pun comic coming up on wed! it’s a fun one!

And fan art for Friday! ( or wed if I get it pulled together)

Also why is it called a ballroom? I understand that the party used to be called a “ball” but why a ball? Was it because everyone was having a ball? Does anyone know?

About where the word Ball comes from.

In swedish the event is called “bal” and the round thing is called “boll”.
So probably it’s two different words…

It’s called a ballroom because, in Old French, the word “baller” means “to dance.”
