Holiday Re-run!
December 19th, 2007The holiday madness has caught up with me, and I’m going home in a few days! I still have to do most of my Christmas shopping!! @_@
So today and Friday’s comics are going to be Holiday re-runs from last year.
For me it’s strange to see how different the older comics are. Over the year I’ve slow switched over to ALL watercolors and no ink. This Mistletoe comic you can see the thick ink outlines. And I was only kind of using watercolors in the background.
This one thing I love about drawing Kimbly, is it keep pushing my style. I like my new stuff much better than this older work. But I think every artist says that they like the new stuff more than the old stuff. ☺

I agree with you. In only a year of drawing my comic regularly, I notice how much I’ve changed. It’s incredible. But then I look at my early Garfield comics, and reprints of For Better or For Worse, Doonesbury, etc. and I realize it is common for all artists.
